Test 103A - Diagnosing Wiper System Problems

NOTE: Perform SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A  - IDENTIFYING VEHICLE EQUIPMENT & SYSTEM PROBLEMS before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Diagnosis of the wiper system is separated into 8 categories. With ignition switch in ON position, operate wiper system in following modes:
    • High Speed
    • Low Speed
    • Intermittent Speed
    • Wash Mode (Wipers Off)
  2. Identify problem area(s) listed in TEST 103A DIAGNOSTIC TEST DIRECTORY table and perform indicated test(s) in order listed.

Wipers Run Constantly With Ignition On TEST 111A
