Test 156B - Repairing RKE Disarm Function

NOTE: Perform TEST 156A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-3A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module connector. See Figure in TEST 37A. Ensure connector is clean and undamaged. Using external voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal "H" (White wire) on RKE module connector. If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace RKE module. If voltage is less than 4 volts, go to next step.
  2. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal "H" (White wire) on RKE module connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in White wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
  3. Access Body Control Module (BCM). With connectors connected, backprobe jumper wire between terminal No. 15 (White wire) on BCM Gray connector and ground. If courtesy lights illuminate, repair open White wire. If courtesy lights do not illuminate, replace BCM.
