Test 35A - Courtesy Lamp System & Power Supply

NOTE: Perform TEST 34A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal Identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Using scan tool, actuate courtesy lamps. If courtesy lamps illuminate, go to step 6). If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, stop courtesy lamps actuation. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Bone connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 19 (Pink wire) on BCM Bone connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 12 (Yellow wire) on BCM Bone connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace BCM. If voltage is 10 volts or less, go to next step.
  5. Disconnect any inoperative lamp assembly. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at Pink wire on courtesy lamp assembly connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open Yellow wire between courtesy light and BCM. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire.
  6. Using scan tool, stop courtesy lamp actuation. Open left front door. Using scan tool, read left front door ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LFDOOR AJAR: CLOSED, replace body control module. If scan tool does not display LFDOOR AJAR: CLOSED, go to TEST 39A  .
