Test 36A - One Inoperative Courtesy Lamp

NOTE: Perform TEST 34A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal Identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
  1. Remove inoperative courtesy lamp. If lamp is open, replace lamp. If lamp is okay, disconnect inoperative lamp assembly. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at Pink wire on lamp assembly connector. If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open ground circuit of inoperative lamp assembly. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire.
