NOTE: Perform TEST 47A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect headlight switch connector from behind switch. If parking lamps go out, replace headlight switch. If parking lamps do not go out, turn ignition off. Go to next step.
  2. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Gray connector. If parking lamps go out, replace BCM. If parking lamps do not go out, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect parking lamp relay. Parking lamp relay is located behind dash, below parking lamp switch. If parking lamps do not go out, repair short to battery voltage in Black/Yellow wire. If parking lamps go out, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal "A" (Light Blue wire) on parking lamp relay socket. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Light Blue wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace parking lamp relay.
