Test 95A - Identifying Power Door Lock & Remote Keyless Entry Problem

NOTE: Perform TEST 87A  or 95A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
  1. Lower both front windows. Remove key from ignition switch. Close all doors. Lock and unlock doors from both front door switches. If doors fail to lock or unlock properly, perform appropriate test listed in TEST 95A DIAGNOSTIC DIRECTORY table. If doors lock and unlock properly, go to next step.

    All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch TEST 88A 
    All Locks Fail To Operate Correctly, Trunk May Open Or Fail To Close On Lock Command TEST 102B 
    One Door (1) Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch TEST 89A 
    All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From One Switch TEST 90A 
    All Doors Fail To Lock From Any Switch TEST 91A 
    All Doors Fail To Lock From One Switch (2)
    All Doors Fail To Unlock From Any Switch TEST 92A 
    All Doors Fail To Unlock From One Switch (2)
    Left Front Door Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch TEST 96A 
    Left Front Door Fails To Lock From Any Switch TEST 97A 
    Left Front Door Fails To Unlock From Any Switch TEST 98A 
    All Doors (1) Fail To Lock & Unlock TEST 99A 
    All Doors (1) Fail To Lock TEST 100A 
    All Doors (1) Fail To Unlock TEST 101A 
    (1) Except left front door.
    (2) Replace defective switch.
  2. Using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, operate door locks and trunk lock. If door locks and trunk lock do not operate properly, replace transmitter batteries or substitute a known-good transmitter. If RKE transmitter still does not operate properly, go to TEST 102A  . If RKE transmitter operates properly, go to next step.
  3. Insert key in ignition switch. Open left front door. Lock doors from either switch. If doors lock with key in ignition switch, go to TEST 93A  . If doors do not lock with key in ignition switch, go to next step.
  4. If vehicle is equipped with speed sensitive locks, drive vehicle with all doors closed. Reach a vehicle speed more than 15 MPH. If doors do not lock at more than 15 MPH, go to TEST 94A  . If doors lock, system is operating properly at this time.
