Hydraulic Control Unit: Installation

  1. Install HCU in vehicle. Install, but DO NOT tighten, HCU bracket bolts. Tighten HCU bracket-to-frame rail bolts to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m). Tighten HCU bracket-to-fender bolt to 18 INCH lbs.(2 N.m). Install and tighten brake fluid tubes to 14 ft. lbs. (19 N.m).
  2. Ensure ignition is off. Reconnect electrical connectors. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM. Install acid shield and battery tray. Install battery, and connect battery cables.
