Test 44A - Shorted Left Front Door Ajar Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect left front door ajar switch. Using DRB, read left front door ajar switch status. If DRB does not display LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, replace left front door ajar switch. If DRB displays LFDOOR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Gray connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of BCM Gray connector terminal No. 6 (Tan wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Tan wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace BCM.
