Test 52B - Repairing Chime Inoperative At All Times
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Ensure all doors are closed. Using DRB, actuate chime. If chime does not sound, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind right kick panel. If chime sounds, go to next step.
- Using DRB, stop actuating chime. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove key from ignition switch. Turn headlamps on and open left front door. If chime does not sound, go to TEST 52C. If chime sounds, go to next step.
- Turn headlamps off. Ensure left front seat belt is unfastened. Close left front door. Insert key in ignition switch. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If chime does not sound, go to TEST 52D . If chime sounds, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Leave key in ignition switch. Open left front door. If chime does not sound, go to TEST 35J . If chime sounds, system is operating properly at this time
