Test 7B - Short To Battery

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  . After each repair, perform TEST VER-1.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position before disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector terminal No. 7 (Orange wire) and terminal No. 26 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Violet/Brown and Orange wires.
  2. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check resistance between PCM connector terminal No. 7 (Orange wire) and terminal No. 46 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between White/Black and Orange wires. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace PCM.
