Test 41A - Identifying Auto Door Lock Problem
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR
IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Lower both front windows. Close all doors. Lock and unlock doors from both front door lock switches. If both door lock switches operate properly, go to next step. If both door lock switches do not operate properly, identify problem area before performing appropriate test. See REPAIRING DOOR LOCK PROBLEM TESTS table.REPAIRING DOOR LOCK PROBLEM TESTS
Description Perform Test All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch 41B All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From One Switch 41D All Doors Fail To Lock From Any Switch 41E All Doors Fail To Lock From One Switch 41H All Doors Fail To Unlock From Any Switch 41J All Doors Fail To Unlock From One Switch 41K One Door Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch 41L - Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Leave key in ignition switch. Open left front door. Lock doors from any switch. If doors lock, go to TEST 42A. If doors do not lock, go to next step.
- Ensure doors are unlocked. Drive vehicle at more than 20 MPH. If doors do not lock, go to TEST 42B. If doors lock, system is operating properly at this time.
