Power Door Lock Test 2C - Shorted Door Lock Driver Circuit

NOTE: Perform POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 2A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER INTRODUCTION. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect BCM 20-pin connector located at junction block and ensure connector is clean and not damaged. See Figure in CHIME TEST 3A. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of BCM 20-pin connector terminals No. 10 (Orange/Black wire), No. 11 (Orange/White wire), No. 12 (Orange/Tan wire) and No. 13 (Orange/Brown wire).
  2. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair shorted door lock driver circuit, replace fuse No. 9 and replace BCM (relay in BCM will be damaged). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace BCM.
