Test 102F - Inoperative RKE Horn Chirp
NOTE:
Perform TEST 102A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
NOTE:
Horn chirp may have been cancelled when transmitters were previously programmed.
- Reprogram all transmitters. See TEST 102D . Gain access to Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See Figure . Connect test light between terminals "A" (Pink wire) and "B" (Black/Red wire) on RKE Black connector. Go to next step.
- Depress horn button on steering wheel. If test light flashed, replace RKE module. If test light did not flash, repair open Black/Red wire.
