Test 144C - Repairing Trunk Key Cylinder Switch Sense Circuit
NOTE:
Perform TEST 144A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION

in this article. Perform TEST VER-3A - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Disconnect trunk key cylinder switch connector. Ensure connector is clean and undamaged. Connect jumper wire across switch connector terminals. Using scan tool, read trunk key cylinder switch status. If scan tool displays CLOSED, replace trunk key cylinder switch. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, go to next step.
- Connect jumper wire between trunk key cylinder switch connector Violet/Yellow wire and ground. If scan tool displays CLOSED, repair open Black wire. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, go to next step.
- Locate Body Control Module (BCM) behind right kick panel. Connect jumper wire between BCM Black connector terminal No. 24 (Violet/Yellow wire) and ground. If scan tool displays CLOSED, repair open Violet/Yellow wire. If scan tool does not display CLOSED, replace BCM.
