Test 133B - Bus Short To Battery
- Using an external ohmmeter, measure resistance between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector, terminals No. 44 (Orange wire) and No. 59 (Violet/Brown wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Orange/White wire and Violet/Brown wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, go to next step.
- Measure resistance between PCM connector, terminals No. 44 (Orange/White wire) and No. 60 (White/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short between Orange/White wire and White/Black wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace PCM.
NOTE:
For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS
in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
