Left Front Inlet Valve

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAM.
  1. Using scan tool, read trouble codes. If MAIN RELAY/POWER CIRCUIT FAILURE message is set, go to TEST 14A. If MAIN RELAY/POWER CIRCUIT FAILURE message is not set, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect CAB from HCU. See Figure . Inspect 14-pin valve block connector. See Figure . If 14-pin connector is faulty, repair as necessary. Perform TEST VER-1A. If any terminals are backed-out, replace HCU. Perform TEST VER-1A. If 14-pin connector is okay, go to next step.
  3. Using external ohmmeter, check resistance between valve block connector terminals No. 3 and 7. If resistance is not 5-8 ohms, replace HCU. Perform TEST VER-1A. If resistance is 5-8 ohms, replace CAB. Perform TEST VER-1A.
