System Verification Test

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION. For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAM.
  1. Turn ignition off. Connect all previously disconnected connectors. Using scan tool, erase all trouble codes. Turn ignition on. If any trouble codes are displayed, go to TEST 1A. If no trouble codes are displayed, go to next step.
    CAUTION: Ensure braking capability is available before road testing vehicle.
  2. Using scan tool, read trouble codes at start-up. Start engine. If no trouble codes are displayed, road test vehicle for at least 5 minutes. Perform several anti-lock braking stops and traction control starts. Using Scan tool, read trouble codes again. If any trouble codes are displayed, go to TEST 1A. If no trouble codes are displayed and customer's complaint cannot be duplicated, repair is complete.
