Test 102A - Remote Keyless Entry Problem

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE:
  1. Gain access to Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See Figure . Turn ignition off. Disconnect RKE module Black connector. Turn ignition on. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "A" (Pink wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of RKE module Black connector terminal "D" (Dark Green wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Dark Green wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "G" (Pink/Black wire). Using scan tool, actuate door lock relay. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink/Black wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  5. Check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "E" (Pink/Violet wire). Using scan tool, actuate door unlock relay. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Pink/Violet wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  6. Check voltage on RKE module Black connector terminal "C" (Orange/White wire). Actuate door lock relay. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Orange/White wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace RKE module.
