Test 100A - Right Front Door Fails To Unlock

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. Turn ignition off. Gain access to relay center, located under dash, attached to left kick panel. Remove door unlock relay. See Figure. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door unlock relay connector terminal "D" (Red wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open Red wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Check voltage on door unlock relay connector terminal "A" (Orange/White wire) while depressing door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If voltage is less than 10 volts when depressing door lock switch, repair open (Orange/White wire). If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of door unlock relay connector terminal "C" (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire between relay connector and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace unlock relay.
