Test 115A - Traveler Illumination Problem

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. Turn park lamps on while observing traveler display. Move dimmer control lever to CENTER position. If traveler display dims, system is operating properly. If traveler display does not dim, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect traveler module connector. Traveler module is located in center section of dash. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on traveler connector terminal No. 5 (Orange wire). If voltage is less than 4 volts, go to TEST 32A . If voltage is more than 4 volts, replace traveler module.
