Test 23A - Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC) Problems
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:

article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
- Using scan tool, select module ELECTRONIC INST CLUSTER. If scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, go to TEST 124A . If scan tool does not display NO RESPONSE, go to next step.
- Read Electronic Instrument Cluster (EIC) DTCs. If scan tool displays any DTCs, go to TEST 24A. If scan tool does not display any DTCs, go to next step.
- Electro/mechanical instrument cluster system diagnostics are separated into 5 categories. Verify customer complaint and identify problem area before performing appropriate test. See DIAGNOSING ELECTRO/MECHANICAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SYSTEM table.
