  1. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM), located behind right kick panel. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM Black connector terminal No. 16 (White wire). Lift and hold left door handle. If voltage is less than 4 volts with door handle lifted, replace BCM. If voltage is more than 4 volts with door handle lifted, go to next step.
  2. Remove left door panel. Disconnect illuminated entry switch harness connector. Check, clean and repair connections as needed. Connect a jumper wire between illuminated entry switch connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire) and terminal No. 2 (White wire). If courtesy lamps illuminate, replace left door illuminated entry switch. If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, go to next step.
  3. Connect jumper wire between illuminated entry switch connector terminal No. 2 (White wire) and ground. If courtesy lamps illuminate, repair open in Black wire between illuminated entry switch connector and ground. If courtesy lamps do not illuminate, repair open in White wire.
