Test 81B - Both Doors Fail To Lock From Either Switch

CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS - 3.0L article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
  1. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Black connector, located behind right kick panel. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM Black connector terminal No. 4 (Orange/Black wire). Depress power door lock switch to LOCK position. If voltage is more than 10 volts when switch is depressed, replace BCM. If voltage is less than 10 volts when switch is depressed, go to next step.
  2. Gain access to right door lock switch. Backprobe door lock switch connector terminal No. 1 (Orange/Black wire). Depress power door lock switch to LOCK position. If voltage is more than 10 volts when switch is depressed, repair open Orange/Black wire between BCM Black connector and right door lock switch. If voltage is less than 10 volts when switch is depressed, replace both door lock switches.
