Test 110A - Wipers Operate In High Speed Only
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER
section in this article. Perform TEST VER-1
VERIFICATION TEST after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Remove high/low wiper relay (relay No. 10) from Power Distribution Center (PDC). PDC is located on left front fender apron. See Figure . Go to next step.
- Substitute a known-good relay. Turn wipers on and observe wiper operation. If wipers operate properly in low and high speeds, replace original high/low wiper relay. If wipers do not operate properly, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Bone connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Remove substitute high/low wiper relay. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of BCM Bone connector terminal No. 18 (Violet wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Violet wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace BCM.
