Test 98A - Left Front Door Unlock Problem With Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

NOTE:
Perform TEST 95A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Gain access to Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See Figure . Disconnect RKE module Black connector. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal "A" (Pink wire on RKE module Black connector). If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Measure voltage at terminal "E" (Pink/Violet wire) on RKE module Black connector. Depress and hold left front door lock switch to UNLOCK position. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink/Violet wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, replace RKE module.
