OTIS Test 4A - OTIS Mileage And Distance Function Malfunction

NOTE: Perform OTIS TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - BODY VERIFICATION TEST  . Drive vehicle at least 3 miles (greater than 25 MPH) to update OTIS and perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - BODY VERIFICATION TEST  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. If all other OTIS functions operating properly, go to next step. If any other OTIS functions are not working, replace OTIS unit.
  2. Using scan tool, select engine controller. Read PCM DTCs. If any DTCs exist, go to appropriate article:
    • G - TESTS W/CODES - 2.7L.
    • G - TESTS W/CODES - 3.2L.

If no DTCs exist, check for correct tire size.
