VTSS Test 2A - Disarming VTSS System

NOTE: Perform VTSS TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Perform, after each repair, VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - BODY VERIFICATION TEST  .
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Insert key into driver's door and turn lock to UNLOCK position. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select THEFT ALARM, then MONITORS. Read VTSS status. If scan tool displays CURRENT MODE DISARMED, go to VTSS TEST 1A  . If scan tool does not display CURRENT MODE DISARMED, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Insert key into right door and turn lock to UNLOCK position. Turn ignition on. Read VTSS status. If scan tool displays CURRENT MODE DISARMED, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 14A  . If scan tool does not display CURRENT MODE DISARMED, go to next step.
  3. Using RKE transmitter, unlock doors. Read VTSS status. If scan tool displays CURRENT MODE DISARMED, go to POWER DOOR LOCK TEST 17A  . If scan tool does not display CURRENT MODE DISARMED, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is mounted to junction block located behind left end cap of instrument panel. See Figure in CHIME TEST 2A.
