Test 102D - Programming RKE Transmitter
NOTE:
Perform TEST 102A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- When RKE module is put in programming mode, all transmitters that will be used must be programmed. Ensure transmitter(s) have good batteries. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool, select PROGRAM RKE under MISCELLANEOUS. If door locks cycle, go to next step. This indicates that module is in programming mode. If door do not cycle, inspect enable circuit. Repair as needed. If enable circuit is okay, replace RKE module.
- Press any button on transmitter. Locks will cycle. Press any button on additional transmitter (if applicable). Locks will cycle. Exit PROGRAM RKE on scan tool. Turn ignition off.
