Test 103A - Diagnosing Wiper System Problems
NOTE:
Perform SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A
- IDENTIFYING VEHICLE EQUIPMENT & SYSTEM PROBLEMS before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- Diagnosis of the wiper system is separated into 8 categories. With ignition switch in ON position, operate wiper system in following modes:
- High Speed
- Low Speed
- Intermittent Speed
- Wash Mode (Wipers Off)
- Identify problem area(s) listed in TEST 103A DIAGNOSTIC TEST DIRECTORY table and perform indicated test(s) in order listed.
