Test 110A - Wipers Operate In High Speed Only

NOTE: Perform TEST 103A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Remove HI/LO wiper relay (relay No. 10) from Power Distribution Center (PDC). PDC is located on left front fender apron. See Figure . Go to next step.
  2. Substitute a known-good relay. Turn wipers on and observe wiper operation. If wipers operate properly in low and high speeds, replace original HI/LO wiper relay. If wipers do not operate properly, go to next step.
  3. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Bone connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Remove substitute HI/LO wiper relay. Go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 18 (Violet wire) on BCM Bone connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Violet wire. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, replace BCM.
