Test 113A - Body Control Module (BCM) No Response Condition

NOTE: Perform SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A  or 1B before proceeding with this test. For connector ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Bone connector. BCM is located behind right kick panel. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 19 (Pink wire) on BCM Bone connector. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 21 (Black wire) on BCM Bone connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, measure resistance at terminal No. 14 (Black/Light Green wire) on BCM Bone connector. If resistance is 100 ohms or greater, repair open Black/Light Green wire. If resistance is less than 100 ohms, go to next step.
  4. If this test is being conducted to check for BATTERY POWER TO MODULE DISCONNECTED trouble code, replace BCM. If testing is for a NO RESPONSE trouble code, go to next step.
  5. Using an external ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminal No. 3 (Violet/Brown wire) on Data Link Connector (DLC) and terminal No. 8 on BCM Bone connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Violet/Brown wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  6. Using an external ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminal No. 11 (White/Black wire) on DLC and terminal No. 7 on BCM Bone connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open White/Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace BCM.
