Test 88C - Shorted Switch Circuit
NOTE:
Perform TEST 88B
or 91A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
and WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Drive vehicle to update OTIS and perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE
after each repair.
- Remove left front door trim panel. Disconnect door lock switch connector. Using scan tool, read door lock switch voltage. If voltage is 0.2 volt or less, replace left front door lock switch. If voltage is more than 0.2 volt, go to next step.
- Remove right front door trim panel. Disconnect door lock switch connector. Using scan tool, read door lock switch voltage. If voltage is 0.2 volt or less, replace right front door lock switch. If voltage is more than 0.2 volt, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind right kick panel. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, measure voltage at terminal No. 9 (Orange/Violet wire) on BCM Bone connector. If voltage is more than 0.2 volt, repair short to voltage in Orange/Violet wire. If voltage is 0.2 volt or less, replace BCM.
