Test 132A - Bus Fault Messages

Battery must be fully charged before proceeding. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) to retrieve messages. Refer to the BUS FAULT MESSAGES  table and proceed to appropriate test number.

BUS FAULT MESSAGES

Fault Messages Perform
BUS SHORT TO BATTERY TEST 133A
BUS SHORT TO 5 VOLTS TEST 134A
BUS SHORT TO GROUND TEST 135A
BUS (+) & BUS (-) SHORTED TOGETHER TEST 136A
NO TERMINATION TEST 137A
BUS BIAS LEVEL TOO LOW TEST 138A
BUS BIAS LEVEL TOO HIGH TEST 138A
BUS (+) OPEN TEST 138A
BUS (-) OPEN TEST 138A
BUS (+) & (-) OPEN TEST 138A
NO BUS BIAS TEST 139A
NOT RECEIVING BUS MESSAGES CORRECTLY TEST 140A
NOTE: For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring schematics, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  in this article. Perform TEST VER-1 - VERIFICATION PROCEDURE  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting any module connector.
