Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes: Introduction

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and energy systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

Perform all basic diagnostic procedures in BASIC TESTING article. If no fault is found while performing basic diagnostic procedures, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are found during self-diagnostics, proceed to TESTS W/O CODES article for diagnosis by symptom or TEST NTC-1: NO TROUBLE CODES (NTC) TESTS.
