DTC P0601: Internal Controller Failure

NOTE: For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.

NOTE: Monitored with ignition on. Set condition is when internal checksum for software failed (does not match calculated value).

Turn ignition on with engine off. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If DTC is present again, replace Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Perform TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD II VERIFICATION . If DTC is not present, test is complete.
