Memory Position No. 2 Stuck

NOTE: Perform MEMORY SYSTEM TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION. Perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-4A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect memory switch 6-pin connector. Using scan tool, select BODY MEMORY SEAT MODULE, then INPUT/OUTPUT. Read MEMORY POSITION NO. 2 status. If scan tool displays OPEN, replace memory switch. If scan tool does not display OPEN, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) 16-pin harness connector. MHSMM is located under front of seat. See Figure. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 4 (Pink/White wire) on memory switch harness connector. If resistance is less than 1000 ohms, repair Pink/White wire for short to ground. If resistance is 1000 ohms or greater, replace MHSMM.
