Inoperative Memory Switch

NOTE: Perform MEMORY SYSTEM TEST 43A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION. Perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-4A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE: Ensure seat frame is connected to ground if seat is unbolted from vehicle.

Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) 26-pin harness connector. MHSMM is located under front of seat. See Figure. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 4 (Pink/White wire) on memory switch harness connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 25 (Pink/White wire) on MHSMM harness connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Pink/White wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace MHSMM.
