Right Mirror Inoperative From Memory
NOTE:
Perform MEMORY SYSTEM TEST 1A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see
BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION. Perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-4A after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
NOTE:
Ensure seat frame is connected to ground if seat is unbolted from vehicle.
- Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) 16-pin harness connector. MHSMM is located under front of seat. See Figure. Using voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 12 (Dark Blue wire) on MHSMM harness connector. While monitoring voltmeter, press right mirror switch to left position. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open Dark Blue wire. If voltage is greater than 10 volts when switch is pressed, go to next step.
- Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 13 (Yellow/Black wire) on MHSMM harness connector. While monitoring voltmeter, press right mirror switch to up position. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open Yellow/Black wire. If voltage is greater than 10 volts when switch is pressed, go to next step.
- Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 11 (White wire) on MHSMM harness connector. While monitoring voltmeter, press right mirror switch to down position. If voltage is 10 volts or less when switch is pressed, repair open White wire. If voltage is greater than 10 volts when switch is pressed, repair MHSMM.
