OTIS Mileage And Distance Function Malfunction
NOTE:
Perform OTIS TEST 1A before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see
BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-2A after each repair. Drive vehicle at least 3 miles (greater than 25 MPH) to update OTIS and perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-2A after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector.
- If all other OTIS functions operating properly, go to next step. If any other OTIS functions are not working, replace OTIS unit.
- Using scan tool, select engine controller. Read PCM DTCs. If any DTCs exist, go to appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no DTCs exist, check for correct tire size.
