Wipers Not Operating In Intermittent Speed Mode

NOTE: Perform WINDSHIELD WIPER TEST 1A  before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification and wiring diagrams, see BODY CONTROL COMPUTER - INTRODUCTION article. Perform VERIFICATION TEST: VER-2A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition on. Move wiper switch through all intermittent wiper positions. If wipers do not function in each position, go to next step. If wipers function in some positions, replace multifunction switch.
  2. Using scan tool, select SENSORS. Monitor intermittent wiper voltage at each intermittent position. If voltage changes proportionally in each intermittent position, replace Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is mounted to junction block located behind left end cap of instrument panel. See Figure.
