DTC P1595-B: Speed Control Solenoid Circuits

NOTE: For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  1. Using a DVOM, check resistance of speed control brake switch output circuit between brake switch connector and speed control servo 4-pin connector. See SPEED CONTROL SERVO CONNECTOR WIRE IDENTIFICATION  table and BRAKE SWITCH CONNECTOR WIRE IDENTIFICATION  table. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open brake switch output circuit. Perform TEST VER-4A: SPEED CONTROL VERIFICATION .
  2. Check brake switch adjustment. See DISC & DISC article in BRAKES section. If brake switch adjustment is okay, replace brake switch. Perform TEST VER-4A: SPEED CONTROL VERIFICATION . If brake switch adjustment is not okay, adjust brake switch as necessary.
