Test NTC-15A: Checking Battery Temperature Sensor

Using a thermometer, measure temperature near PCM in engine compartment. Using scan tool, read battery temperature sensor temperature. If scan tool display is within 10 degrees of actual under hood temperature, battery temperature sensor is operating properly. Test is complete. If scan tool display is not within 10 degrees of actual under hood temperature, replace PCM. Perform TEST VER-5A: ROAD TEST FOR OBD-II TROUBLE CODES .
