Test NTC-4A: Checking Engine Vacuum

NOTE: Perform TEST NTC-1A: NO TROUBLE CODES (NTC) TESTS  before proceeding.
  1. Connect vacuum gauge to a manifold engine vacuum source. Start engine and allow to idle. Note engine vacuum reading. Turn engine off.
  2. Engine vacuum should be steady and 13-22 in. Hg depending on the altitude. If engine vacuum is not within specification, perform TEST NTC-13A: CHECKING ENGINE MECHANICAL SYSTEMS . If engine vacuum is within specification, engine vacuum is normal. Test is complete.
