Final Procedure
- Inspect vehicle to ensure all engine and speed control system components are connected. Reassemble and reconnect components as necessary. Connect scan tool to DLC. Clear all DTCs from PCM.
- To ensure no speed control system problem exists, road test vehicle at a speed greater than 30 MPH. Depress steering wheel speed control ON/OFF switch to ON position. Depress and release steering wheel speed control SET switch.
- If speed control engages, go to next step. If speed control does not engage, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Quickly depress and release steering wheel speed control RESUME/ACCEL switch. If vehicle speed increases by 2 MPH, go to next step. If vehicle speed does not increase by 2 MPH, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Hold steering wheel speed control COAST switch downward. If vehicle speed decreases, go to next step. If vehicle speed does not decrease, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Using caution, depress and release brake pedal. If speed control disengages, go to next step. If speed control does not disengage, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Increase vehicle speed to 25 MPH. Depress steering wheel speed control RESUME/ACCEL switch. If vehicle resumes to original speed, go to next step. If vehicle does not resume to original speed, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Hold steering wheel speed control SET switch downward. If vehicle speed decreases, go to next step. If vehicle speed does not decrease, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Ensure vehicle speed is greater than 30 MPH. Release steering wheel speed control SET switch. If vehicle speed adjusts and sets at a new vehicle speed, go to next step. If vehicle speed does not adjust and set at a new vehicle speed, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Depress steering wheel speed control CANCEL switch. If speed control disengages, go to next step. If speed control does not disengage, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
- Increase vehicle speed to 35 MPH and engage speed control. Depress steering wheel speed control ON/OFF switch to OFF position. If speed control disengages, system is operating correctly. Repair is complete. If speed control does not disengage, repair is not complete. Check for related Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and any speed control related DTCs. Perform appropriate DTC test if necessary.
