Passenger Heated Seat Switch Stuck In High/Low State

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect passenger's heated seat switch harness connector. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, clear DTCs, then retrieve DTCs. If PASSENGER HEATED SEAT SWITCH OPEN/SHORTED TO GROUND is not retrieved, go to next step. If only PASSENGER HEATED SEAT SWITCH OPEN/SHORTED TO GROUND is retrieved, replace passenger's heated seat switch.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) harness connector C1. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage at terminal No. 5 (Tan/Light Green wire) at MHSMM harness connector C1. See Figure . If no voltage exists, replace MHSMM. If any voltage exists, repair short to voltage in Tan/Light Green wire between passenger's heated seat switch and MHSMM.
