High Beam Headlights Will Not Turn Off

  1. Remove high beam relay in junction block. See Figure . If high beams turn off, go to next step. If high beams do not turn off, repair short to voltage in wiring between high beam relay and headlights.
  2. Measure voltage at terminal No. 57 at high beam relay socket on junction block. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, replace high beam relay.
  3. Disconnect multifunction switch harness connector. Measure voltage at terminal No. 57 at high beam relay socket on junction block. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair short to voltage in White/Light Green wire between multifunction switch and high beam relay. If voltage is one volt or less, replace multifunction switch.
