Air Bag Warning Indicator Not Operating Properly

NOTE: Ensure no communication concerns exists before proceeding with this test.

Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, retrieve air bag control module DTCs. If no air bag control module DTCs exist, go to next step. If any air bag control module DTCs exist, repair air bag system as necessary. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, retrieve DTCs. If no DTCs exist, replace instrument cluster. If any DTCs exist, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
