Memory Set "S" Position Stuck

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect memory set switch harness connector. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Using scan tool, check memory set switch status. If OPEN is not displayed, go to next step. If OPEN is displayed, replace memory set switch.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) harness connector C1. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 5 (Pink/Black wire) at memory set switch harness connector. See Figure . If resistance is greater than 1000 ohms, replace MHSMM. If resistance is 1000 ohms or less, repair short to ground in Pink/Black wire between memory set switch and MHSMM.
