OTIS Mileage & Distance Function Malfunction

  1. If all other Overhead Travel Information System (OTIS) functions are operating properly, go to next step. If any other OTIS functions are not operating properly, replace OTIS module.
  2. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, retrieve PCM DTCs. If any DTCs exist, repair powertrain concern as necessary. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no DTCs exist, check all factors that affect mileage and distance (tire size, injector pulse, brake adjustment, etc.) and repair as necessary.
