One Door Failing To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch
- If problem is with driver's door, go to next step. If problem is not with driver's door, go to step 13 .
- Remove driver's door unlock relay from junction block. Measure resistance between terminals No. 85 and 86 at driver's door unlock relay (component side). See Figure . If resistance is 50-90 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 50-90 ohms, replace driver's door unlock relay.
- Measure resistance between terminal No. 86 and terminals No. 30, 87 and 87a at driver's door unlock relay (component side). If all resistances are greater than 100 ohms, go to next step. If any resistance is 100 ohms or less, replace driver's door unlock relay.
- Measure voltage at terminal No. 87 at driver's door unlock relay socket on junction block. See Figure . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace junction block.
- Measure voltage at terminal No. 88 at driver's door unlock relay socket on junction block. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, replace junction block.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Connect a test light between terminals No. 88 and 90 at driver's door unlock relay socket on junction block. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, activate driver's door unlock relay. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 12 .
- Turn ignition off. Install driver's door unlock relay. Remove key from ignition. Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe terminal No. 7 (Dark Blue wire) at junction block harness connector C6. See Figure . Using either door lock switch, unlock vehicle. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, replace junction block.
- Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe terminal No. 3 (Orange wire) at junction block harness connector C6. Using either door lock switch, lock vehicle. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, replace junction block.
- Disconnect driver's door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Connect a test light between terminals No. 3 (Dark Blue wire) and No. 4 (Orange wire) at driver's door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. See Figure . Using either door lock switch, lock and unlock vehicle. If test light does not illuminate when vehicle is locked and unlocked, go to next step. If test light illuminates when vehicle is locked and unlocked, replace driver's door lock motor/ajar switch.
- Connect a test light between ground and terminals No. 3 (Dark Blue wire) at driver's door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Using either door lock switch, unlock vehicle. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Dark Blue wire between driver's door lock motor/ajar switch and junction block.
- Connect a test light between ground and terminals No. 4 (Orange wire) at driver's door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Using either door lock switch, lock vehicle. If test light illuminates, problem is intermittent. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Orange wire between driver's door lock motor/ajar switch and junction block.
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) from back of junction block. Measure resistance between terminal No. 90 at driver's door unlock relay socket on junction block and terminal No. 13 at BCM connector on back of junction block. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, replace BCM. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace junction block.
- Turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition. Disconnect inoperative door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Connect a test light between terminals No. 3 (Pink/Black wire) and No. 4 (Orange wire) at disconnected door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. See Figure . Using either door lock switch, lock and unlock vehicle. If test light does not illuminate when vehicle is locked and unlocked, go to next step. If test light illuminates when vehicle is locked and unlocked, replace appropriate door lock motor/ajar switch.
- Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe appropriate terminal (Orange wires) at junction block harness connector C6. See DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION
table. See Figure
. Using either door lock switch, lock vehicle. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, replace junction block.DOOR LOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION

. Using either door lock switch, unlock vehicle. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, replace junction block.DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION
Inoperative Lock Terminal No. Left Rear 11 Right Front 12 Right Rear 12 - Connect a test light between ground and terminals No. 3 (Pink/Black wire) at appropriate door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Using either door lock switch, unlock vehicle. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Pink/Black wire between appropriate door lock motor/ajar switch and junction block.
- Connect a test light between ground and terminals No. 4 (Orange wire) at appropriate door lock motor/ajar switch harness connector. Using either door lock switch, lock vehicle. If test light illuminates, problem is intermittent. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Orange wire between appropriate door lock motor/ajar switch and junction block.
